Directions: Tampin is located between Alor Gajah to its south and Gemencheh to its east. It is accessible via the Simpang Ampat exit on the PLUS highway. This is also the same exit to the A'Famosa Theme Park & Resort Malacca.
Info: Tampin sits at the border of Negeri Sembilan and Melaka. Uniquely, the town actually straddles both states. Before the advent of the North-South Highway, Tampin used to be a popular stopover town. Travelers from Seremban (and KL) would stop here for food and rest before proceeding on the arduous journey to coastal Johor via Muar or to inland Johor via Gemas.
Today, the town is less busy but is thriving on its own, nevertheless. Even though its growth is organic and unplanned, the town is much neater and better organised than those so-called planned cities like Shah Alam or Putrajaya.
