Directions: On Jalan Genting Klang from Jalan Pahang, drive towards Wangsa Maju. Turn left into Danau Kota at the traffic lights junction before JPJ. Go straight and Platinum Walk is at the junction on the left.
Info / Insights: Developed by Platinum Victory Development Sdn Bhd, the business park is also known as the Lake City shops. It is part of a 160-acre integrated development comprising condos, shops, a shopping mall and link houses known as Setapak Lake City. Platinum Walk consists of 87 units shop lots with overhead pedestrian bridges linking all six blocks. The driveways are exceptionally broad, giving the property a spacious look and feel. The Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University College (KLMU)'s School Of Nursing is located here.
The area was formerly tin mining territory and rubber plantations. The excavated mine pits became lifeless lakes when mining ceased in the late 70's. On the same land, stood a community of long houses and squatters before their final relocation in 2006. See photo essay below.
